Following a sensational ninth-grade campaign that saw him earn
MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors
,
Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.)
cornerback
Jabrill Peppers
headlines the MaxPreps 2014 Top 100 Watch List.
Jabrill Peppers will be a top recruit in 2014.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Peppers burst onto the scene in Don Bosco Prep's first game, making a big interception against Gilman that helped the Ironmen rout the heavily favored Greyhounds.
As a sophomore, he will be a major contributor once again for a Don Bosco Prep squad that begins the season
ranked No. 1 in the Xcellent 25
.
Peppers has already attracted the interest of several Division I schools and should blossom into one of the nation's top recruits as a senior.
While traditional talent-producing states like Florida, Georgia, Texas and California are well-represented on the list, America's Heartland also boasts some recruits to keep an eye on, such as 6-6, 250-pound offensive lineman
Braden Smith
from
South (Olathe, Kan.)
and
Cozad (Neb.)
speedster
Jake Paulsen
, who was clocked at 10.6 in the 100-meter dash as a freshman.
