After losing to Brookline the last time they met, Framingham decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Framingham were the clear victor by a 36-14 margin over Brookline. Framingham were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Framingham's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 22 points in the first half. Brookline countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 22-6 going into the half. The Framingham defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win bumped Framingham's record up to 1-3. The loss dropped Brookline back to even at 2-2.
Next week Framingham take on Newton North at Bowditch Field at 7:00 PM. The squad will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. Brookline are packing up and heading on the road for their first away contest this season. They face off against Walpole at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
