The Lapwai Wildcats stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 80-55 margin over Troy. The win was familiar territory for Lapwai who now have 12 in a row.
It was another big night for Kase Wynott, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lapwai's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahlius Yearout, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds.
Lapwai pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.2 points. As for Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lapwai will take on the Loggers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Troy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Kubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
