Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Md.) on Wednesday afternoon.
The recruitment of the 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior came down to a hotly-contested battle between the in-state Terrapins under D.J. Durkin and the trending Nittany Lions under James Franklin.
Castro-Fields slapped on a Penn State hat and made it official live on MaxPreps, giving the Nittany Lions their 11th four-star recruit in the Class of 2017.
The Top 300 prospect had 15 offers and took trips to Alabama (Nov. 26), Maryland (Dec. 10) and Penn State (Jan. 13).
