Maplewood will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Saegertown at 7:00 PM. Maplewood are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
Maplewood put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. Everything went their way against Eisenhower as they made off with a 30-8 victory. No one put up better numbers for Maplewood than junior JD McFadden, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 97 yards on the ground and accumulated 175 passing yards. McFadden has been a consistent playmaker for Maplewood as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Saegertown, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-43 punch to the gut against Union City. Saegertown were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-30.
Maplewood took the match and then some with a 67-6 win over Saegertown the last time the two teams met. Will Maplewood repeat their success, or does Saegertown have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
