The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Milpitas takes on Bellarmine College Prep in the first playoff game of the year. Milpitas has flexed its offensive muscles in its last six matchups, so Bellarmine College Prep has a real workout ahead of it.
Milpitas can now show off nine landslide victories after its most recent game. The final score between it and Homestead two weeks ago was a 45 - 7 blowout in Milpitas's favor. Senior Tariq Bracy continued his outstanding stretch of play as he rushed for 180 yards in the win, marking his 4th consecutive game with over 100 yards rushing. Bracy has also now scored at least one touchdown in the past six consecutive games. Meanwhile, Bellarmine College Prep finished a few points shy of St. Ignatius last week, taking a 28 - 21 hit to the loss column.
Bellarmine College Prep's defeat dropped it to 4-6 while Milpitas's win brought it to 10-0-0. We'll find out on Friday if Milpitas can snag another victory or if Bellarmine College Prep will turn things around for itself.
