Byrd (Shreveport, La.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.), 48-21, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Yellow Jackets led 28-7 at the half.
Byrd grew its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run.
The win brought Byrd's winning streak to three games. The loss was the third in a row for the Cavaliers.
Byrd (3-0) will play a non-conference game against Mansfield next week, while Calvary Baptist Academy (0-3) will take on LaGrange also in a non-conference game.
