Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, D.C.) lost to
Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.), 23-13.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Austin Snowden in the second quarter, the Hurricanes led 9-7 at the half.
Manatee expanded its lead to nine points entering the fourth quarter. MHS's lone score in the quarter came on a
Trevon Walters touchdown run.
The loss comes after Friendship Collegiate Academy defeated St. Frances Academy 33-6 last week. The win brought Manatee's winning streak to three games.
In a non-conference game next week Manatee (3-0) takes on Sarasota, and Friendship Collegiate Academy (1-1) will go up against Renaissance Christian also in a non-conference game.
