Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, S.C.) snapped the seven-game winning streak of
Cheraw (S.C.), with a 37-12 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Griffins led 21-0 at the half.
Each side put up six points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 21 point game.
Fairfield Central had given up an average of 10.3 points prior to the contest.
When the two teams played each other last season, FC came away with a 27-10 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Cheraw, who notched a 41-26 victory over Pelion in its previous outing.
