The playoffs are here, replacing a regular season that started with conditioning drills in the fall. The CIF State finals are March 24-25 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The top two ranked teams here are the top seeds in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs. This is the first time two Sacramento-area teams have finished the regular season ranked 1 and 2 in Northern California. We offer a Top 25 rankings with 10 more teams of note listed below.

- No. 3 St. Joseph has won 25 consecutive games with
Darne Duckett playing well. The Pilots are the top seed in the North Coast Section Division IV playoffs.
- No. 4 Bellarmine Prep won the West Catholic Athletic League with an unbeaten slate, including topping St. Ignatius for the second time. The Bells earned the No. 1 seed in the Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs, having won 16 consecutive games.
