Colton Lindsey and Gabe LittleJim provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Oklahoma Christian. The connection was good for 99 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 2 this season.
Crooked Oak was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Ruf-Nex defeated Dibble 41-28.
Joseph Lemiuex was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 121 yards on 20 carries as Christian Heritage fell to Christian Heritage. Teammate Lindsey added to the ground attack by rushing for 98 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Maurice Wright. The Luther star has 31 catches for 593 yards.
Two of the top units in 2A District 2 will face off this week when Luther takes on Millwood. The Lions' offense has racked up 245 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Falcons have allowed only 109 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Luther takes on Millwood. Shawn Meek's team is in fifth place, while Darwin Franklin's team is in first place.
The Falcons added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Northeast, 69-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
