It's finally official –
Cyrus Kouandjio – the nation's No. 3-ranked player by Tom Lemming of CBS/MaxPreps - is going to play football for the University of Alabama where his brother, Arie, is a freshman lineman.

DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) coach Bill McGregor called MaxPreps on Saturday afternoon. He said that he had just heard from his standout offensive tackle who told him he has faxed in his letter-of-intent.
Thus ends a three-day ordeal for the teenage star, who on Wednesday had announced on national television that he would attend Auburn. However, he did not fax in the official letter because doubts lingered.
"I think he was back and forth; it was a tough decision," McGregor said. "He had one foot in and one foot out. As long as he's happy, I'm happy. He's going to work hard and I'm sure he's going to be very successful.
"I've been OK all the way," the veteran coach said of a week filled with phone calls from across the country. "We had 14 kids sign. We'll always have at least 10 or more."
