In what's become a running theme this season, the Esperanza Aztecs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past El Dorado 58-35. The victory was nothing new for Esperanza as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Madilyn Lam, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alexa Muller was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Esperanza pushed their record up to 23-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Esperanza will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Caruthers at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. One thing working in Caruthers' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 contests. As for El Dorado, they will head out on the road to square off against San Clemente at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Clemente will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something El Dorado surely won't give up without a fight.
