2A District 6 recap November 5, 2013
Vian added to the longest winning streak in 2A District 6 this week by beating Hartshorne, 22-15. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Wolverines.
Pocola's Johnny Satlerfield and Kyle Highley have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Satlerfield has thrown for 1,599 yards this season, while Highley has 32 catches for 768 yards. Vian's Eric Casey leads the league in rushing yards with 1,260.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Vian takes on second place Panama. Last week, Brandon Tyler's team bested the Miners, while Panama topped the Indians.
Antlers made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,825 from 11,017. The improvement was largely due to a 28-19 victory over the Bearcats last week.
