Ellis Richardson and Anthony Garner provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Harris County. The longest such play in AAAAAA Region 3 this season, the connection resulted in 89 yards.
Westlake made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,581 from 6,748.
Douglas County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Richardson threw for 324 and three touchdowns and Garner had 183 yards receiving. On the ground Garner chipped in 96 yards. Kenny McMillian helped Douglas County's passing attack out by catching five balls for 97 yards.
Douglas County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 829 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Garner has 16 catches for 303 yards. Garner leads the league in rushing with 195 yards.
