West (Torrance, Calif.) beat El Segundo (Calif.) 49-0 thanks to dual threat quarterback

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Brett Ojiyi in the first quarter, the Warriors led 36-0 at the half.
West grew its lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Heeger touchdown run.
The Warriors raced to 22 in the first quarter alone and never looked back.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Warriors came away with a 13-10 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for El Segundo, who notched a 46-19 victory over Cantwell-Sacred Heart in its previous outing. With the win West extended its winning streak to three games. The loss broke El Segundo's two-game winning streak.
West (3-0) will play a non-conference game against South next week, while El Segundo (2-1) will take on Oak Park also in a non-conference game.
