Demetrius Houston (6-6, Sr., G/F, Mississippi State) gives them the firepower necessary to make a run.

4. Mountain Brook (Birmingham)2012-13 record: 30-6, Class 6A state champions

The Spartans won their last seven games of the season a year ago – including a 21-point win over Sparkman in the final – en route to a state title. While Mountain Brook took some hits via graduation, the trio of

Ben Shearer (6-0, Sr., G) keeps expectations high.
5. Madison Academy2012-13 record: 23-12

The Mustangs should take a significant step forward in year two of the
Josh Langford era. Langford, a 6-5 sophomore guard, is one of the nation's top Class of 2016 prospects and put up 23.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as a freshman.
