After two weeks on the road, Glenwood is heading back home. Lemont and Glenwood go head to head on Friday at 7:00 PM in their first playoff game of the year. Glenwood have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
After a string of eight wins, Glenwood's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They lost to Rochester by a decisive 14-31 margin. Glenwood got a solid performance out of junior Luke Lehnen, who rushed for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Lehnen has been a consistent playmaker for Glenwood as this was the 9th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Lemont put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the contest and then some with a 47-0 victory over Oak Forest. That looming 47-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lemont yet.
Lemont's win lifted them to 5-4 while Glenwood's defeat dropped them down to 8-1. We'll see if Lemont can repeat their recent success or if Glenwood bounce back and reverse their fortune.
