After having lost a blowout to Oakridge in their previous game, Chippewa Hills was happy to find some success on Thursday. Chippewa Hills snuck past Newaygo with a 26-21 win. That result is just more of the same for Chippewa Hills, who also won the last time these teams played.
The win got Chippewa Hills back to even at 1-1. The loss dropped Newaygo's record to 0-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Chippewa Hills will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Tri County Area at 7:00 PM. As for Newaygo, they will face off against Central Montcalm.
