The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Skyline takes on McClymonds in the first playoff game of the year. McClymonds's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Skyline defense that got eight sacks against Castlemont in its previous game.
Everything went Skyline's way against Castlemont last week as it secured a 46 - 0 win. Senior Eugene Adams didn't have many carries in the previous game, but he had more touches this time and made them count as he ran for 67 yards and punched in two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, McClymonds has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling eight) after its most recent game. It put the hurt on Fremont last week with a conclusive 48 - 8 victory.
Their wins bumped McClymonds to 10-0 and Skyline to 5-4. Both McClymonds and Skyline are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. Check back on MaxPreps to find out which one when the teams meet up this week.
