BENTONVILLE, Ark. -
Bentonville (Ark.) extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 42-0 victory over West Memphis (Ark.) on Saturday.
The Tigers were up 28-0 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.
Bentonville expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
Cody Scroggins played well for the Tigers in the victory. The sophomore wide receiver caught one touchdown.
Bentonville had given up an average of 6.7 points prior to the contest.
BHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 42-14.
The loss comes after West Memphis defeated Rogers Heritage 43-36 last week. The loss snapped the Blue Devils' 2-game winning streak.
West Memphis (8-4) will play a playoff game against Bentonville next week. The Tigers have put together a 10-0 record on the year so far.
