The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Saturday Cedar Hill takes on Guyer in the first playoff game of the year. Its offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Cedar Hill defense that got ten sacks against Midway last week.
Cedar Hill crushed Midway last week, winning 52 - 17. Senior wide receiver Charleston Rambo was especially active in the win, finding the endzone an impressive three times. Rambo has been a consistent playmaker for Cedar Hill as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.
As for Guyer, it blew past Byron Nelson last week 52 - 21. Sophomore running back Noah Cain was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he earned two touchdowns and 169 yards rushing the ball). This marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Cain had 100+ rushing yards.
Their wins bumped Cedar Hill and Guyer up to an identical 9-2. Guyer and Cedar Hill both have plenty of landslide victories under their belts (Guyer with five and Cedar Hill with six), but only one can come away triumphant this week. We'll find out who that is soon.
