PERRY, Fla. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Taylor County (Perry, Fla.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Bulldogs bested Potter's House Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) 40-0.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the second quarter, the Bulldogs led 27-0 at the half.
Taylor County expanded its lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. TC scored once in the quarter on a passing touchdown.
A big 27-point second quarter helped the Perry school secure the win. The Bulldogs scored on a passing touchdown, a defensive touchdown, a defensive touchdown and a touchdown run in the quarter.
The win was a nice bounce back for Taylor County, which lost to Williston last week, 43-40. The loss was the third in a row for the Lions. The victory ended Taylor County's two-game losing streak.
In its next matchup TC (1-2) will take on Wakulla in a non-conference game. The War Eagles enter the contest having posted a 2-0.
