5A West recap November 5, 2013
Alma added to the longest winning streak in 5A West this week by beating Greenbrier, 31-21. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Vilonia was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Eagles triumphed over Huntsville 35-0.
Shiloh Christian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dillon Sharp threw for 244 and 3 touchdowns and Reed Lowe had 103 yards receiving. On the ground Chris Cox contributed 204 yards. Adler Goode helped Shiloh Christian's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 70 yards.

Toney Hawkins provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Morrilton topped Harrison. He completed 9 passes for 107 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 155 yards. Hawkins' favorite target this week was Rayshod Criswell, who caught 6 passes for 95 yards.
He went 18-25 with 0 interceptions.
Colton Cooksey made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Devil Dogs beat the Goblins. The 6-foot-3 senior grabbed 3 sacks.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Criswell. The Morrilton star has 64 catches for 863 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Shiloh Christian takes on Alma. Josh Floyd's team's offense has scored 384 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Doug Loughridge's team has allowed only 171 on the year.
Michael Evert of the Harrison is only 49 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 202 carries Evert has put up 951 yards this year.
At the moment, the Airedales are in second, while the Saints are in third.
Morrilton led 5A West in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Chad Harbison's team. Hawkins ran for 155 yards in the win.
