LAKE ZURICH, Ill. - A big 28-point first quarter helped carry the Bears to a 49-7 victory over Antioch (Ill.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, Lake Zurich was up 42-0 at the half.
With the win LZ extended its winning streak to six games. Lake Zurich defeated Lake Forest 21-10 last week.
Antioch's lone touchdown came on a 15-yard run in the third quarter.
The Bears came into the game allowing 3.4 points per game.
The loss comes after Antioch defeated Round Lake 41-6 last week.
