STORYLINES* Now on its fifth head coach in six seasons, which way will Findlay Prep trend in 2016-17? The program has continued to operate at a high level despite coaching turnover and the talent is there to do so once again this winter. But typically constant turnover of head coaches isn't a formula for winning championships.
* The loss of Gary Trent Jr. to Prolific Prep Academy (Napa, Calif.) was a big blow for the Pilots. The Minnesota native was all set to join the program but when former coach Andy Johnson bolted for Southern Utah, Trent opted to reconsider where he would spend his senior season. With him on the roster, Findlay Prep may have been in the conversation for preseason No. 1.
