Katy (Texas) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 35-21 victory over
Cinco Ranch (Katy, Texas) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Tigers led 17-7 at the half.
Katy expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. KHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run.
The Tigers also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 38-7.
The loss comes after Cinco Ranch defeated Seven Lakes 27-7 last week. The loss snapped the Cougars' 3-game winning streak.
In a 5A Region III District 19 game next week Katy (9-0) takes on Memorial, and Cinco Ranch (6-3) will go up against Strake Jesuit also in a 5A Region III District 19 game.
