For high school basketball fans around the state of Washington, the recruitment of Riley Sorn
was a bit of a head-scratcher.
At 7-foot-3, he played for one of the best programs in the state at Richland
, nearly recorded a triple-double in the state tournament as a junior and was named the WIBCA Class 4A Player of the Year as a senior.
Despite the mystery and seeming lack of interest by big time college programs, all ended well for Sorn as he committed Monday to Washington.

Richland compiled a 45-10 record over the past two seasons with a pair of trips to the state tournament behind the play of Sorn, who averaged over 16 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots per game as a senior.
Sorn had a breakout performance in the state tournament as a junior in a win over powerhouse Federal Way, recording 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots.
