Lexington probably has a sour taste in its mouth after its recent playoff game against Springfield didn't go its way. Lexington had a chance to win but let Springfield get away with a 18 - 14 victory. Lexington was up 14 at the end of the half but couldn't hold onto the lead.
Lexington's defense put the team in a good position heading into the break, holding Springfield to a measly zero points. That put Lexington at a 14 - 0 advantage. With a less-than-desirable zero points in the second half, however, it saw this advantage slip away.
The defeat dropped Lexington's record to 9-4. The win bumped Springfield's record up to 9-3.
