B District 8 recap October 8, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Jackson Hinze and Logan Lewis connected against Grand Island Northwest. The connection was good for 63 yards, the longest such play in B District 8 this season.
Scottsbluff took down the Vikings 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hinze threw for 104 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 66 yards in the win.
Tucker Wintholz made the biggest impact on defense this week as Sidney lost to Lexington. The 6-foot-5 senior racked up 1 sack.
Lewis was a force in the backfield as the Red Raiders fell to the Minutemen.

Hinze put up the best numbers in passing as the Bearcats defeated Grand Island Northwest.
5-foot-9 quarterback Hinze of Scottsbluff is the league leader in passing yards this season with 385. He has also thrown 2 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lucas Rosenbaum. The Sidney star has 6 catches for 143 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Alliance takes on Todd Ekart's team. The Bulldogs are in third place, while the Red Raiders are in second place.
Alliance made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,778 from 6,024. The improvement was largely due to a 24-6 victory over Travis Hawk's team last week.
