After soaring high against Creek Bridge last week, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. West Columbus were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 28-32 to South Robeson. If West Columbus were expecting to get some payback for the 8-48 defeat against South Robeson the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
The loss dropped West Columbus' record to 1-2. The win bumped South Robeson's record up to 1-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. West Columbus looks to establish their home field advantage next week as they take on Fairmont . As for South Robeson, they will face off against St. Pauls.
