3A Conference 7 recap December 3, 2013
Concord was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating South Point. The Spiders came in at 11 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.
Concord extended the longest winning streak in 3A Conference 7 this week by beating the Red Raiders, 21-13. This was the team's 15th consecutive win.
East Rowan's Samuel Wyrick and Seth Wyrick have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wyrick has thrown for 1,846 yards this season, while Wyrick has 57 catches for 835 yards. Rocky Reid from the Spiders leads the league in rushing with 2,953 yards.
Concord made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 569 from 1,285. The advance stemmed from a 21-13 victory over South Point last week.
