Watch the record-setting quarterback carve up the Lebanon secondary.
On a night of big passing performances, Glendale (Springfield, Mo.)
senior Alex Huston
topped them all.
Not just for Friday night, but of all time.
In a 69-58 win over Parkview, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback broke three national records according to the NFHS record book
* Most passing yards: 824. He broke the previous mark of 787 set by Matt Miller of DuBois (Pa) in 2015.
* Most completions: 70. He shattered the record of 58 by Grant Sherman of Kenton (Ohio) set in 2013.
* Most attempts: 88. Huston broke the mark of 87 set by Tyler Hutchinson of Greenville (Ill.) set in 2013.
According to numbers posted on MaxPreps, Huston has completed 248 of 348 for 2,845 yards and 37 touchdowns and seven interceptions in six games this season.
His 824 yards pushed his career totals to 14,584, which ranks fifth nationally according to NFHS.
Note that NFHS doesn't include numerous records of other athletes, such as Washington quarterback Jake Browning, who threw for 16,775 career yards and 229 touchdowns in his prep career at Folsom (Calif.).
