Video: Wild way to score TDThe most talked-about play in college football over the weekend – and one of the biggest of the season – was the game-winning deflected pass from TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin to Josh Doctson to Aaron Green in their wild 55-52 win over Texas Tech on Saturday.
There was a comparable nutty play in high school football for
Richlands (Va.). This wasn't a game-winner, however.
Check out the pass from lefty
John-luke Asbury intended for
Scottie Ball. It skipped off Ball's shoulder pad and fell right into the hands of a wide-open
Bryce Farris, who sprinted the final 30 yards untouched into the end zone.
Asbury tried to fire a quick slant to Ball but the pass was too hot. What might have been a 5-to-10-yard play turned into a 46-yard touchdown en route to a 55-20 win over Virginia (Bristol).
The Blue Tornado improved to 4-1.
