AAA Region 4 recap November 19, 2013
Callaway added to the longest winning streak in AAA Region 4 this week by beating Henry County, 62-28. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Callaway took down the Warhawks 62-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Business Engineering Science Tech's dynamic duo of CHRISTOPHER SEABORN and ROBERT TUCKER proved to be unstoppable against Carver, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. SEABORN threw for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns and TUCKER had 42 yards receiving. Deshawn Waller helped Business Engineering Science Tech's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 39 yards.
Jacob Barnes was a key player and the best on defense this week as Central defeated Pike County. The 6-foot-2 junior grabbed 1 interception.
Jackson's Keenan Moore and Orenzo Smith have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Moore has thrown for 2,636 yards this season, while Smith has 50 catches for 1,236 yards. Waller from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 1,519 yards.
The Lions made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,734 from 3,161. The advance stemmed from a 31-0 victory over the Pirates last week.
