North Shore (Houston, Texas) defeat
Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, Texas) 49-20 after a solid game from
Tristan Houston, who rushed for four touchdowns. Thanks to solid play, the junior now has eight touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on a Houston touchdown run in the second quarter, the Mustangs led 21-10 at the half.
North Shore expanded its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. NS scored two times in the third, including once on a Houston touchdown run.
The Houston school secured its victory by scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 29.
The Mustangs also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 31-24.
In a 5A Region III District 21 game next week Port Arthur Memorial (3-4) takes on Sterling, and North Shore (6-0) will go up against Sterling also in a 5A Region III District 21 game.
