The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Gwinnett, who took down 30th ranked South Gwinnett, 35-29.
Dacula moved up to 69 from 133 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAAAA Region 8. The Falcons climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Comets 35-29.
Jeremy Lacy provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Parkview lost to Grayson.
Lacy was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 96 yards on 6 carries as the Panthers lost to the Rams. Teammate Justis Rosser added to the ground attack by rushing for 48 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Archer's Gabe Tiller and Kyle Davis have proven to be a lethal combination. Tiller has thrown for 169 yards this season, while Davis has 4 catches for 101 yards. Parkview's Rosser leads the league in rushing yards with 221.
One of AAAAAA Region 8's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Tigers and Cecil Flowe's team face off next week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when South Gwinnett takes on Shiloh. At the moment, John Small's team is in fourth, while the Generals are in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Panthers and Archer face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Parkview comes in having scored 31 this season, while Andy Dyer's team has scored 37. The Panthers scored 10 points last week as they lost to Grayson.
The Tigers and Brookwood played the closest game in the league this week, with the Tigers eventually emerging with a 25-20 victory.
