IV Section I recap September 24, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ganado, who defeated 137th ranked Chinle, 34-28. Darrell Boling threw for 408 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 49 yards in the win.
The Hornets moved up to 123 from 155 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in IV Section I. Ganado was able to move up by beating the Wildcats 34-28.
Brandon Newcomb's team's dynamic duo of Boling and Micheas Pineda proved to be unstoppable against Chinle, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lane Salabiye helped Ganado's passing attack out by catching 11 balls for 150 yards.

Kelly Wood was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 112 yards as Winslow bested the Wildcats. Teammate Jace Hardy added to the ground attack by rushing for 92 yards.
Boling put up the best numbers through the air as the Hornets defeated Chinle. Boling's favorite target this week was Pineda, who caught 8 passes for 194 yards.
He went 25-37 with 2 interceptions.
Travis Gray made the biggest impact on defense this week as Monument Valley fell to Show Low. The 5-foot-11 senior.
Pineda was the best receiver in the league this week as Ganado defeated the Wildcats.
Leading IV Section I in both passing and receiving yards, the Mustangs' Redmond Delmar and Keanu Mitchell have proven to be a lethal combination. Delmar has thrown for 1,034 yards this season, while Mitchell, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 22 catches for 418 yards. Window Rock's Delano (Tony) Walker leads the league in rushing yards with 557.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Hornets beat Chinle 34-28,. The victory was the fourth in a row for Ganado.
