Beaver gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were able to grind out a solid win over Canyon View, winning 21-14. That result is just more of the same for Beaver, who also won the last time these teams played.
Beaver got off to a sluggish start, posting 0 total points in the first half. That left them at a 0-6 disadvantage. The offense took control in the second half,however, scoring 21 points.
No one had a larger role in the success than junior Ryker Albrecht, who brought his A game into the match. He accumulated 293 passing yards and picked up 65 yards on the ground. This was the first game for both teams, giving Beaver a 1-0 record and starting Canyon View off at 0-1.
