By Michael PintoWhen you watch quarterbacks play, they stand out to you for different reasons.
Be it their ability to command the huddle, the plays they can make on the run or accuracy. But one thing stands out above all the others, one characteristic that you pretty much have or you don't, one that can't be taught.
Arm strength.
Some guys throw the ball and all you can say is, "Wow, that guy's got a cannon for an arm."
It's one part conditioning, two parts natural ability, and coveted by scouts and coaches around the country. When you watch
Kiehl Frazier throw the ball effortlessly down the field with the flick of his wrist or see
Bubba Starling wind one up and let it loose, even a casual fan can see something special there.
These guys can really rocket it. Some of them might not be the most polished passers, or accurate, or smart, but all of that can be taught and learned. You can't learn how to have a better arm.
You've either got it or you don't.
