Megan Carlson, a senior for Andover High School in Andover, Minn., has been named the MaxPreps/AVCA Minnesota High School volleyball Player of the Week.
The 5-foot-10 athlete receives the award for leading her team to its current 27-5 record. In the Huskies 10 games last week, Carlson averaged 4.5 kills per game after pounding down 45 kills. On defense, she picked up 56 digs (5.6 dpg) and two blocks, while also chipping in six aces.
The Huskies are coached by Connie Huberty.
