Oak Ridge won its first two Texas 6A playoff games with ease to remain atop this week's MaxPreps Xcellent Volleyball Rankings presented by the U.S. Army National Guard.
By winning, Oak Ridge remained unbeaten in 45 matches. The War Eagles outscored two opponents, 150-77, in sweeping their playoff games.
Mother McAuley, playing one of the toughest schedules either side of the Mississippi River, moved up a notch to No. 2. Mother goes for the State Large School title this weekend.
Last week's No. 2 Jesuit, lost to No. 8 seed Sunset in the first round of Oregon's 6A State Tournament and dropped from the rankings. The loss ended Jesuit's 102-match winning streak dating back three seasons.
New to the Top 10 this week is unbeaten Skutt, which moved from No. 14 to No. 8.
New to the Top 25 this week are St. Thomas Aquinas, Logan Elm, DeWitt and Indianapolis Cathedral, last year's MaxPreps' Xcellent National Champion.

1. (1 last week) Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas), 45-0The War Eagles, who won the Area Tournament and now move on to the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday against 33-11 Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall). Rockwall has won 18 matches in a row. The War Eagles are led by senior
Hailey Lohnes, who has served for 304 points this season (9.28 percent and 64 aces).
2. (3) Mother McAuley (Chicago, Ill.), 38-1 Winners of 30 straight, McAuley moves into the State 4A semifinals on Friday against 24-8 Niles-West.
3. (9) Novi (Mich.), 47-1Defending large school champion Novi has won 37 straight as it enters State A division regional action on Tuesday.
4. (4) Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colo.), 25-0The Rangers opened 4A Region play with 3-0 wins over The Classical Academy (Colorado Springs) and Durango (Colo.). They are 71-3 in set play this season.
Lewis-Palmer remained at No. 4 in the Xcellent 25 girsl volleyball rankings with two wins in the Colorado playoffs.

5. (6) Yorktown (Yorktown, Ind.), 37-1Behind sophomore
Kenzie Knuckles' 30 kills and 18 digs, the Tigers capped off their season with their 27th-straight win – 3-1 over 34-6 Providence – to win the State 3A title. Yorktown's only loss was 3-1 to 27-5 Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.) on Sept. 6.
6. (7) Bishop Moore (Orlando, Fla.), 26-1The Hornets ran their win streak to 12 and beat 20-10 Robinson (Tampa, Fla.) with ease to advance to 5A State championship on Saturday where they will face 21-9 Ponte Vedra. Moore hasn't lost a set since losing to 32-5 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) on Oct. 1.
7. (8) Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.), 34-0Championship MVP
Taylor Rowland had 22 kills and
Courtney Weber had 32 assists as the Chargers defeated Chapel Hill (25-15, 25-15 and 25-19) to win the State 3A title. Weber and Rowland are juniors.
8. (14) Skutt Catholic (Omaha, Neb.), 41-0The Skyhawks defeated Bennington to move to Thursday's State B quarterfinals against 26-10 Aurora.
9. (11) Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, Ill.), 39-1The Hurricanes defeated Rosary (Aurora, Ill.), 2-0, to move into Friday's State 3A semifinal match against 30-8 Mascoutah.
10. (10) Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.), 30-4Winners of 20 straight, Santa Margarita opens CIF Southern Section play with 3-0 wins over Corona Del Mar (Newport Beach) and Great Oak (Temecula) and moves on to the CIF Southern Section D1 semis on Tuesday against 23-8 Long Beach Poly.
11. (13) Sacred Heart (Louisville, Ky.), 40-4The Valkyries swept through the State Championships and won their final 12 matches of the season, including 3-1 (25-19, 25-13, 19-25, 25-19) over 37-7 Henry Clay (Lexington) in the championship game. Sacred Heart's
Paige Hammons had 19 kills to earn tournament MVP honors.
12. (5) Penfield (N.Y.), 45-0The Patriots defeated Victor for the fourth time this season on Friday to win the Section finals and advance to the State AA Far West Regional Qualifier against 29-5-2 Clarence.
13. (15) Lake Catholic (Mentor, Ohio), 27-0Lake Catholic won three State D2 playoff games with ease and will play 21-6 Padua Franciscan (Parma, Ohio) in Friday's D2 semifinal.
14. (16) Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.), 44-2The Cavaliers have won 15 straight without losing a set and face semi-final action of the State 5A Tournament on Tuesday against 37-12-2 T.L. Hanna (Anderson). Dorman has defeated T.L. three times this season.
15. (18) Ventura (Calif.), 32-2The Cougars defeated Esperanza (Anaheim) to advance to Tuesday's CIF Southern Section D2 semifinals against 14-11 Marlborough (Los Angeles).
16. (20) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 32-4The Monarchs blanked Menlo Atherton (Atherton), 3-0, to move into the CIF Central Costa Open Division semis on Tuesday against Sacred Heart Cathedral (San Francisco, a team they have split a pair of matches with this season.
17. (NR) St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), 28-2 The Raiders will carry a 17-match winning streak in to 8A State finals on Saturday against 28-3 Plant (Tampa). They haven't lost a set since Sept. 17.
18. (19) West Valley (Yakima, Wash.), 27-0West Valley captured the District title by defeating Eastmont (Wenatchee, Wash.), 3-0, and moves on to Thursday's state tournament unbeaten.
19. (21) Eagan (Minn.), 25-1The Wildcats captured Section AAA play with 3-0 wins over Rosemount, Park (Cottage Grove) and Cretin-Derham (St. Paul) to move to the Minnesota AAA Elite Eight.
20. (NR) Cathedral (Indianapolis, Ind.), 31-4Cathedral, the 2015 MaxPreps mythical National Champions and Preseason No. 1, avenged an earlier season loss in defeating Crown Point for the State 4A title last Saturday as setter
Maria Schorr handed out 57 assists and
Nia Robinson had 27 kills in the 3-1 win. It was the 14th straight win and 12th state title for the Fighting Irish, who also won the title in 2015.

24. (24) Edmond Memorial (Edmond, Okla.), 33-2 * season overMemorial captured the State 6A title.
