As reported by
The Coloradoan in Fort Collins, Golditch was in an adjacent theater when a man believed to be James Holmes went on a shooting rampage that left at least 12 people dead and more than 50 injured during a midnight premiere of the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises".
A stray bullet came through the wall and struck Golditch below his left ear, according to the newspaper.
"It just went in one side and out the other. I also have a pretty deep cut from where it hit," Golditch told Matt L. Stephens. "There was no serious damage at all. Luckily for me, it missed everything. It's a blessing."
Golditch, a Colorado State recruit who was at the theater with other members of the Gateway football team, said he thought the gunfire was firecrackers. After he realized he had been shot, he left the theater and called police. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder was treated at a local hospital and released.
