TRAILBLAZER STORYLINES* It's go time at Sierra Canyon. The nation's most promising young team should be ready to run with anybody after a year of seasoning in 2013-14. "We knew that this would be the year we turned the national light on, so to speak," Nichols said. "We set it up this way on purpose so that by the time they get to their junior and senior years, nothing would take them by surprise. We are jumping in to the deep end and we plan on swimming."
* Lee, Ramsey and Riley combined to produce almost 40 points and 20 rebounds per game a year ago. Riley earned MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors after posting 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per outing. Ramsey, already a two-time gold medalist with USA Basketball, added 14.8 points and 5.7 assists. Lee was a consistent double-double threat and has seen his recruitment skyrocket in recent months with offers from powers like Arizona and Connecticut.
* The cast around the aforementioned trio shouldn't be ignored. Sierra Canyon welcomes in highly touted transfer guard Martin, who has multiple major conference offers. Seiko, Robbie Feinberg and McBride also played significant roles a year ago.
