Joshua Meyer and Brodrick Yancy provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Palm Harbor University. The longest such play in 8A District 7 this season, the connection resulted in 80 yards.
Manatee added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Hurricanes, 48-14. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Manatee's dynamic duo of Meyer and Yancy proved to be unstoppable against Palm Harbor University, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Meyer threw for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns and Yancy had 155 yards receiving. Johnnie Lang helped Manatee's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 24 yards.
Matt LePain's team's Tyler Kaminski and Dominick Bonelli have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Kaminski has thrown for 1,238 yards this season, while Bonelli has 31 catches for 519 yards. Joe Kinnan's team's Trevon Walters leads the league in rushing yards with 1,324.
The Hurricanes lost to the Hurricanes 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kaminski was a bright spot for Palm Harbor University, as he threw for 110 yards and ran for 119 yards in the loss.
