The location doesn't seem to matter. Whatever the zip code,
Washington (Miami) is the top team in high school football.

The top-ranked Tornadoes' trip to Las Vegas to take on No. 25
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) ended in a 28-12 victory Friday in a game televised across the country. As usual, it was a display of dazzling athleticism and a defense that knows how to grab turnovers.
Treon Harris was lethal with his arm and legs for Washington, passing for a trio of touchdowns and running for another. The Florida State commit's play in the fourth quarter helped his team break away from a slight 14-12 advantage early in the fourth.
Harris ran for an 11-yard score with 7:28 left to give his team some breathing room and then with 1:46 left he twisted the dagger by tossing a 35-yard scoring pass to
Lamar Parker on a fourth-down play to officially create enough breathing room.

Deltron Hopkins early in the second quarter to make it 14-0.
Gorman quarterback
Randall Cunnigham Jr. had an extremely rough go of things early but the running game produced, as
Russell Booze reached the end zone from 16 yards out with 3:36 left in the half to make it 14-6. Booze finished the night with 112 rushing yards as his team worked hard to establish a run game behind its big and mean offensive linemen.

The Gaels got a chance to score in the waning minutes of the first half when Washington had a poor punt that only reached the 40-yard line. But Gorman couldn't take advantage of the short field and went into halftime down 14-6. Cunningham was 1-for-5 with an interception in that first half but Booze did have 62 yards on the ground.
Another bad punt gave Gorman (4-2) another great scoring chance two minutes into the second half and Cunningham took advantage, finding tight end
Alize Jones for a six-yard pass on play action. A fake field goal was stuffed and it was 14-12.
Turnovers helped the Tornadoes (6-0) in their fourth quarter run, as
Tyrone Robinson knocked the ball out of Cunningham's hands and
Terry Jefferson recovered. In total, the Tornadoes took the ball away four times.
Their spectacular season has now included victories in Georgia and Nevada, along with four in Florida.
Washington leaves Sin City with a victory and a No. 1 national ranking, but will almost certainly be without the services of
Aquil Knowles, who suffered a gruesome ankle injury and left the game in an ambulance.
