Immokalee were successful in their last outing against Cypress Lake, and they didn't afford Cypress Lake any payback this time around. The win was a breath of fresh air for Immokalee as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Immokalee's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 31 points in the first half. Cypress Lake countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 31-7 going into the half. The Immokalee defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The win bumped Immokalee's record up to 1-5. The defeat dropped Cypress Lake's record to 3-2.
Immokalee will stay at home next week against Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 PM. Palmetto Ridge took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Immokalee's good fortune. Cypress Lake will be staying on the road, facing off against Bishop Verot.
