Colonia will challenge Summit on the road at 2:30 PM on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Colonia skips in on three wins and Summit on five.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Colonia and Carteret. Colonia steamrollered Carteret 46-8. Senior Justice Harris was the offensive standout of the match for Colonia, as he rushed for 163 yards and 4 touchdowns. This marked the 3rd match in which Harris has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Summit were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Scotch Plains-Fanwood to the tune of 64-26. Followers of Summit probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Their wins bumped Summit to 5-0 and Colonia to 3-2. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
