Fans got a thrill when Clay DeHaan and Scotty Graziano connected against Hiawatha. The connection went for 79 yards, the longest such play in Northeastern this season.
Luther North was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fifth in the league. The Wildcats vanquished Mooseheart 18-13 earlier in the week.
Mike Mercado and Michael Speer gave the Hawks a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Mercado threw for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Speer ran for 108 yards. Mercado also contributed to the rushing game with 86 yards on the ground.

Mercado put up the best numbers through the air as Sean Donnelly's team beat Westminster Christian. Mercado's favorite target this week was Allen Letterer, who caught 4 passes for 81 yards.
Graziano was the best receiver in the league this week as the Warriors lost to the Hawks. Graziano racked up 8 receptions for 166 yards. DeShawn Bloom helped Westminster Christian's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 67 yards.
Speer was the best running back in Northeastern this week.
Westminster Christian's Max Tucker and Graziano have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Tucker has thrown for 668 yards this season, while Graziano, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 18 catches for 323 yards. Hiawatha's Mercado leads the league in rushing yards with 277.
The Hawks' offense has racked up 104 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Marquette has allowed only 35 on the year.
The Crusaders are in first place, while Hiawatha is in third place.
Marquette extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hope Academy, 28-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for Tom Jobst's team.
