Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Scranton should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will challenge Valley View on the road at 7:00 PM. Scranton will be hoping to build upon the 28-21 win they picked up against Valley View the last time they played.
Things haven't been easy for Scranton, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They have to be aching after a bruising 14-38 loss to Hazleton last Friday. A silver lining for Scranton was the play of senior Jerrod Brown, who rushed for 145 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, Valley View got themselves on the board against Dallas, but Dallas never followed suit. Valley View blew past Dallas 33-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Valley View had established a 26-0 advantage.
Valley View's win lifted them to 9-0 while Scranton's defeat dropped them down to 1-7. We'll find out if Valley View can add another positive mark to their record or if Scranton can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Valley View's step.
